Welcome to my blog! This is where I'll be sharing more personal reflections, current reads and listens, and generally anything that won't find its way into my Wine Alphabet or Lagom Somm newsletters—whether it's drinks-related or delightfully tangential.

It's customary to start with an introduction, so that's exactly what this post is about. Most of us struggle when it comes to writing about ourselves, so I was relieved to remember that I was recently interviewed by a friend and mentor, Priya Joi.

An author, journalist, and coach, she runs the fantastic newsletter 'The Art of Freelance' on Substack, where you'll find what I'd call a pretty accurate portrait of me—and a good depiction of what a day in my life might look like, from teaching wine fundamentals to 40 Gen Z students in the morning to pairing wines with books that very same evening.
